We bought a house in August 2025 that was beautiful -- except for the third floor apartment. The apartment was livable, but gross. Stained carpet everywhere, grime all over the kitchen, broken tiles, and a general depressing feeling. Three people lived up there before we moved in, and they did not take care of it.
We thought refreshing it would take 3 months; we budgeted for 6, thinking we'd be off by 2x. Turns out, it took 11 months.
This photo album documents some of the work we did. For a day-by-day breakdown, follow me on insta and watch my highlights reel.

Feels weird to make our spending public, so ask me or Marylee for the code if you want to see what each room and each task cost.
(Yes, I kept track of every single transaction...)
Case-Sensitive
Costs shared across rooms are split evenly.
